Fall For Arts: Whistler ArtWalk

Beer Fest 2

Even though the summer is coming to an end, there's still tons of upcoming events to hit up in Whistler. It's finally September and you all know what that means, right? It's the beginning of Fall for Arts, a whole season dedicated to celebrating the arts in Whistler! This autumn season is going to be packed full with festivals, art markets, creative workshops, exhibit openings, local music, and much more.

Here's some of the more notable events coming up!

RBC GranFondo Whistler

The RBC GranFondo returns to the Sea-to-Sky Corridor! For one day, Highway 99 the best possible cycling road, is closed to traffic and turned into 122 km bike riding challenge from Vancouver to Whistler. The scenery this ride provides is better than you could ever see in a magazine. Plus as an added bonus, the ride ends with a massage and a party, where everyone's invited. This is an amazing opportunity to check out the stunning scenery of the Sea-to-Sky Corridor at a leisurely rate!

Whistler ArtWalk

We hope you're ready to see some great artwork because the Whistler ArtWalk is back and better than ever in 2016! From now until November 30th, Whistler is transformed into a massive gallery where visitors are invited to enjoy local artwork and installations, absolutely free!

ArtWalk this year boasts over 30 unique art galleries, from grand hotels to funky cafes and boutiques, scattered all over Whistler. And there's plenty of diversity for the whole family to enjoy, from graffiti to scenic landscapes, Whistler ArtWalk has it all!

Is just looking at art is too boring for you? Well, how about a scavenger hunt to liven up the mood. If you can track down enough stickers from the venues to spell out the word "ArtWalk" you have a chance to win original art. All you have to do is hand in your completed passport to the Maury Young Arts Centre and cross your fingers.

And as an added bonus you take a piece of Whistler home with you because all the artwork will be on sale! This is an amazing opportunity to pick up an original piece by one of Whistler's talented local artists. If you're seriously interested about buying something you can contact Arts Whistler to take it home or visit the Maury Young Arts Centre.

 Beer Fest

Whistler Village Beer Festival

Scared that the summer drinking season is almost over? Well don't worry because Whistler Village Beer Festival is here, from September 14 - 18. Mingle with fellow beer enthusiasts and sample from some of the best breweries in British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest. A weekend full of delicious beer, food, live music and great beverages.

Beer Fest 3

And like we said this is just the start! There's tons of other events coming up this fall including the Whistler Writers Festival, Cornucopia, and the Whistler Film Festival. Autumn is sure to be a busy time in the Sea-to-Sky Corridor so book your rooms now!
