Canada's 'coolest' film festival returns to Whistler this December for its 17th anniversary. Join in on the five day festival full of fun events from galas, showcases, and new films. You won't want to miss out on the action that is Whistler Film Festival.

From November 29th to December 3rd 2017, Whistler will be hosting the film industry in what's become and staple in Whistler's art scene. The Whistler Film Festival is built around films and screenings but it also gives film fans the opportunity to connect with filmmakers, attend industry events, and more. The festival is consistently ranked as one of the top film festivals in the country by both filmmakers and film fans.

Whistler Film Festival has already announced 16 titles that will be in the first wave of films. This year there will be 6 world premieres, 3 Canadian premieres, and also 7 Western Canadian film premieres. World premiere films this year include; Prodigal, The Moment, Someone Else's Wedding, 8 Minutes Ahead, Nobody Famous, and The Other Side of Porcupine Lake. In 2016, the industry Summit event attracted 13,993 attendees, including 915 industry delegates. If you love cinema and want a chance to get a more intimate look that industry and talent within it, you gotta check out Whistler Film Festival! Possibly one of the most popular events, after film screenings, is the industry summit. The Whistler Summit is a four day conference with 30 interactive business sessions and networking opportunities to connect filmmakers and producers. The summit is designed around bringing films to market and providing filmmakers with tools to help them succeed. As well having a conversation about cinema's intersecting fields of technology, art, and commerce.
