Fall is just around the corner in Whistler which means all of Whistler's signature fall festivals are coming up too! Once the weather starts to cool down and winter approaches Whistler is a wonderful place for arts, culture, and indulgence!
Whistler Village Beer Festival
September 9th - 15th, 2019
Not to be missed, the Whistler Village Beer Festival is seven full days of craft beer, food trucks, and music. The highlight of the week-long event is the Main Event which features over 140 beers and ciders to sample in Whistler's Olympic Plaza. Plus, during the week you can check out cask nights, beer battles, foodie nights, and so much more!
Whistler Writers Festival
October 17th - October 20th, 2019
Welcome the return of the Whistler Writers Festival this October. A massive celebration of the art of storytelling, Whistler's Writers Festival hosts top tier events featuring an all-star lineup of guest authors and speakers. Hailed as a perfect event for writers, readers and storytellers of all levels, the festival has plenty of things for attendees to do while they're here. Take part in development workshops, spoken word events, panel discussions and much more during this action-packed weekend.
Heavy Hitting HorrorFest: Apocalypse
October 30th, 2019
Back once again to scare the masses is the Heavy Hitting HorrorFest in Whistler. Open to all amateur filmmakers, HorrorFest is a wonderfully horrifying showcase of independent short films. Started back in 2002 as a small event, HorrorFest has become one of the largest and longest-running horror film festivals in Western Canada. The festival attracts filmmakers and horror fans from all over the globe. Tickets will go on sale October 1st while the deadline for film submissions is September 15th, 2019.
Whistler's Cornucopia Festival
November 7th - November 17th, 2019
Eat, drink and be merry has never been more representative of any Whistler event like Cornucopia. This amazing fall festival celebrates indulgence like no other.
